Anton Thun currently serves as the Co-Managing Director at MFIVE Sports. Thun is also a Certified Player Agent and his company represents numerous professional athletes including Stanley Cup winners Vincent Lecavalier, Patrice Bergeron and Kris Letang. In addition to this, Anton is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Sports Lawyers Association and the National Sports Law Institute. Anton began his legal career in 1984 and began representing National Hockey League players in 1985.

Jesse Kirshenbaum

Jesse Kirshenbaum founded Bardown Hockey Apparel in his final year at The University of Guelph. What started as a University project, turned into a clothing brand that has revolutionized today’s market through the development of a lifestyle that students of our generation can call their own.
Bardown Hockey Apparel is becoming one of the biggest hockey apparel companies in the world, with retail outlets across all of Canada. Bardown has received strong support from celebrities such as Ron Maclean and NHL superstar Alexander Ovechkin to name a few.

Angela Su

 Angela Su is a passionate, motivated and self-starter sports producer. Currently, she is an Associate Producer at Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment with the Toronto Maple Leafs. She manages and produce couple shows on Leafs Nation Network, these shows include: Blue & White Week, This Week in Leafs Nation, The Blue Line Podcast, TML Classics & LTV Throwback.

Braeden Szucs

Braeden Szucs is currently the Coordinator of Development and Community Partnerships with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment. He has previous experience within the sports industry by working on various projects with the Ottawa Senators, Ottawa Redblacks, Ottawa Tourism (Sport) and Canadian Tire. Currently, his primarily focuses at MLSE Foundation are 3rd party fundraising events, MLSE Foundation’s young professional network – MLSE Foundation Game Changers, and the charities official peer-to-peer fundraising event MLSE Team Up Challenge. 

Gregg Dunnett

Greg's passion for guest experience has been leading him through his career for more then 10 years. Starting his sport passion at Hamilton Tiger-Cats as a Director of Retail Operations, he had the opportunity to launch and reintegrate their retail program into the organization's hierarchy. Most recently, he had the opportunity to assist in the grand opening of new Rogers Arena as part of Oilers Entertainment Group. He is currently The Director of Guest Experiences where he built the corporate, omni-channel customer service strategy for Rogers Place; establishing a customer service culture with the goal of delivering a joyful customer experience, positively impacting over 2 million customers annually.

What IS DCSBC17?

About:
Durham College's Sport Business Conference 2017 (DCSBC17) is a student led conference focused on exposing students to the exciting career of sport. It was developed in 2010 by a group of Graduate Certificate students affiliated with Durham College's Sport Business Management Graduate class. This years theme is centered around "Break Into Sport" which features keynote speakers, workshops, panelist, networking and more!

We are a networking platform designed for undergraduate students who are looking to pursue professional opportunities within the sports industry. We give students the opportunity to hear stories from professionals within various areas of the industry.
